No episode list, no deciding what comes next — PlaylistTV turns the playlists and collections on your own Plex Media Server into channels that simply run. iPhone · iPad · Apple TV · Mac — one purchase covers them all. Nothing else. PlaylistTV builds channels from the playlists and collections you already have on your Plex server, then gets out of the way and plays. ### Channels from what you already curated Every playlist and every collection on your server becomes a channel. Nothing to set up, nothing to import — if it is on your server, it is in the app. ### In order, or shuffled A playlist plays in the order somebody put it in. A collection can run chronologically or shuffled. Each channel decides for itself. ### It remembers where you were Stop in the middle of an episode on the Apple TV, carry on from that second on your iPhone. Progress travels through your own iCloud account. ### Your server stays untouched PlaylistTV only reads. It never renames, never deletes, never uploads. Marking a finished episode as watched on your server is the single write it can perform — and it is switched off until you turn it on. ### It keeps its own record The app tracks what you have seen separately from your server. On a library you have already worked through, that is the difference between a channel that works and one that reports itself finished before it starts. ### One purchase, every device Universal Purchase across iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. No subscription, no account, no advertising. **Playlists** — every playlist on your server becomes a channel that plays in order **Collections** — run a collection chronologically or shuffled **Channel settings** — order, resume behaviour and watched status, per channel **Television** — the same channels on the big screen, built for the Apple TV remote ### On every screen you own One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, and your progress follows you between them. iPhone iPad iPhone Privacy First ## Nothing about you reaches me. There is no account with me, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. PlaylistTV talks to your Plex server and to your own iCloud account, and to nothing of mine. I could not see your library if I wanted to — there is no server of mine for it to reach. #### No account No registration and no account with me. #### No analytics No usage tracking and no crash-reporting SDKs. #### No advertising No ad networks, no tracking pixels. #### No server of mine Your data reaches your Plex server and your iCloud — nothing of mine. User Guide ## Getting started Four steps from installing the app to watching your own library like television. ### Sign in to Plex On first launch the app asks you to sign in to Plex and shows a short code. Enter it at [plex.tv/link](https://plex.tv/link), and your servers appear. Choose one. ### Pick a channel The Channels tab lists every playlist and collection on that server. Selecting one starts it. Starting a large channel takes a few seconds while the server assembles the line-up — the app shows a “Tuning in” screen while that happens. ### Make it yours Open a channel’s settings to choose the order, whether it remembers your position, and whether finished episodes are reported back to Plex. Every setting can also be made once for everything under Settings. ### Carry on somewhere else Switch on iCloud sync in Settings and your progress, favourites and channel settings follow you between your devices. It uses your own iCloud account; nothing passes through me. **Try it first.** The first 28 days are free and fully functional. After that a channel still plays 30 minutes a day, and one purchase unlocks it for good on all your devices. Legal ## Privacy Policy Effective 2026-10-14 ### Controller PlaylistTV is made by Robert Poetzsch (robspace.de), who is the controller responsible for this app within the meaning of the GDPR. Contact: [support@robspace.de](mailto:support@robspace.de). The postal address is in the [legal notice (Impressum)](https://playlisttv.app.robspace.de/#impressum) on this website. ### Overview PlaylistTV collects nothing about you. There is no account with me, no registration, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics or advertising SDK of any kind. This policy is short because there is very little to describe. ### What the app stores, and where PlaylistTV keeps a local copy of the channel line-ups it reads from your server, plus your own playback progress and settings. This lives on your device. If you switch on iCloud sync, that same data is synchronised through **your own** iCloud account under Apple’s terms. It is your iCloud, not mine — I have no access to it and no way to request access. ### What the app connects to - **Your Plex Media Server.** Directly, using the credentials you provide. The app only reads from it. The single exception is the optional setting that marks a finished episode as watched on your server, which is off by default. - **plex.tv**, to sign you in and to discover your servers. That is Plex Inc.’s service and is governed by Plex’s own privacy policy. PlaylistTV is not affiliated with Plex Inc. - **Apple’s iCloud**, only if you switch sync on, and only your own account. The app uses no server operated by me. No data is sent to me, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. ### Purchases The full version is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. I receive Apple’s sales reports, which contain no personal information about you. ### Children The app is rated 4+ and collects nothing, so nothing is collected from children either. ### This website This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on a server in a data centre in Falkenstein, Germany.
